Robot Revolt - An "Act of War" mission by Alex Wingrove
------------
Contact has been lost with a small, remote colony base (it has been
scientifically proven that sods law applies to small, remote colony bases.
No matter how well armed and equiped small, remote colony bases can be,
they will at some time be attacked by strange cosmic rays, wierd
trans-dimensional beings or just plain old aliens. This, of course, is very
handy for sci-fi writters who are hard up for a story line. Indeed, it's
also pretty good for those making up sci-fi related missions for AoW, like
me). It is believed that that some strange cosmic ray has sent the robots
in the colony wild. They have taken up weapons and killed all the
colonists. Your pitifully small squad must summount all the odds and wipe
out the evil that threatens this fine non-terraformed moon, all the time
upholding truth, justice and the american way (sorry, that bit slipped in
from the most well-known alien invader, Superman :-).
Playing the Mission:
Well, you sort of load the game and, erm, play it.
It was designed as a mission to just have a quick bash at when you do not
feel like battling 30 of the most vile, nasty and down right despicable
aliens that ever showed their ugly, foul heads in a computer game. For this
reason, it is not terribly difficult in one-player and could be alright for
two players.
Designers Notes:
As you may be able to tell, this is not a 'serious' mission as most of my
others have been. I started out doing it several weeks ago as a proper
mission, but now that I have gotten around to finishing it, I wanted to do
something that did not involved much typing in on the character editor.
For future missions, I hope to do something other than sci-fi, that way I
can use a plot not even slightly connected with small, remote colony
outposts.

what sort of stupid things I can put in this bit at the end.
